That’s right, this weekend’s craft project turned into turning an old jewellery box into this new awesome one… or at least one that isn’t quite as horrible as the old one. Unfortunately I don’t have any before or in-progress pictures, but I can tell you what I did! basically, imagine this horrible old jewellery box, where not only is the fabric coming off, it’s yellowing, fading, and oh yeah, it looks like it should be on the couch of a very old lady 50 years ago. So anyways, I tore, cut, mutilated, etc. all the old crap off, not to mention the fraying cardboard inserts, then I painted it all, inserted some pretty cardstock into the bottom of the sections, reattached the music mechanism, glued the mirror on some fun fabric, and then made a makeshift hinge from the same fabric until I actually make it to the craft store for a new hinge!
