Home From Chicago
Chicago was great. Safer than Montreal, fun arcitechure, oh, and PHP! (Well, php is everywhere, but for one week, it was concentrated in Chicago) I’ll post the pictures, and a link to download them when I’m actually home, and not at mum’s bored again. They asked me to help with the gardening… and it’s now quarter after four, and we haven’t started… which in this house, generally means that we won’t. At least not today.
Joanna thankfully decided we can do “The Artist” in June or August, so I didn’t have to get the piano part done for this morning. Thank Goodness. I like sleeping more than endless practicing.
Speaking of sleep, I took a four hour nap yesturday. Decided to get up 4:30 though, wait, I got up at 4:30, and went to sleep at 12:30… make that a five hour nap. Anways… I got up at 4:30, thinking that while I could sleep through the night, I’d also be up at six this morning, possibly four or five, and it wouldn’t be worth it. Was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to sleep through the night anyways now. So what do you do when that happens? Well, find the scariest movie that you can get your hands on, start it at 10pm, and watch it in the dark, while your noisy dishwasher is running and within earshot, have all the windows open, and make sure you do so on a night where the drunks will be loud downtown to scream at the peak moment. Now, you can guarentee you won’t be able to sleep through the night! (Aren’t you happy I told you?) Turns out that after struggling with either nightmares or being woken by drunken screams, if you turn on the light at about 3:30am all effects causing your sleep troubles are null and void, so if you want the full experience, leave the light off.
oh! we can go out gardening now. better hurry before she goes from “okay-i’m-ready-get-moving” stage to “MOVE-IT-MOVE-IT-MOVE-IT” stage. (i love you mum!… you know I’m just kidding, right?)
