Cell phone update

Oh dear. There’s nothing that Bell can do. And the twit who told us to text “STOP” apparently didn’t clue in that the number was 9 digits, and therefore not a valid number nor a special subscription (like if I wanted to get the temp texted to me every hour), the “STOP” command isn’t accepted as a valid command, and all I’ve done is let all those spammers (or possibly one spammer) know that my number is valid, and they should just keep texting me. Hooray. (we’re now up to 6 different numbers that are spamming me in case you’re wondering… each sending a few messages a day. But still 3 x 6 = 18, and if they generally text me between 8pm and 1am, that’s almost four an hour. great.) You know what the worst part is? I leave my phone on, it goes off just as I’m drifting off to sleep, and all of a sudden you hear this rattling coming from the living room, and believe me, the first thing that comes to your mind is “Oh crap, who’s in my house?!” So anyways, pretty much my only options are to either get a new number, or live with it until they either turn 18, go to college and get bored with this. I’m really thinking now that someone had my cell number in their address book somewhere and it was either stolen, or hacked, or… etc. So I’m just hoping now that they didn’t have my home address in, or that they’ve somehow got a hold of my account number or SIN. (In which case I should really be calling the police about identity theft…) But haven’t noticed any problems with my money, and haven’t received any weird T4′s, so i’m thinking I’m good.

On a side note, attempting to make ice cream again tonight… this time peach raspberry, and if we’re lucky, it’ll be solid unlike last time. (I also learned from last time to read the instructions that say not to put the ice cream in the frozen canister thing in the freezer because you can easily scratch that thing. Oh well, as long as it doesn’t leak, I’m good. (And it doesn’t… and I won’t ever do it again.)
