I am now…
completely and officially moved out of my parents. They had me clean out my room at their house today, complete with dumping my childhood memories into the dumpster in the driveway. (They rented it in conjunction with the guy next door who’s throwing out stuff from his renovations, and we had the garage & my room.) The point is, now I’m sore, and dirty because it never occurred to them to vacuum in the 5 years I wasn’t living there. Then again, the thought to vacuum never crossed my mind when I lived there either (but somehow it was done anyways.)
Going to Buffalo on Friday! And the best part is, instead of sitting at the customer’s site, I get to be Mum’s shopping buddy. (Work on its own, but more enjoyable than dealing with the nimrods that are my customers. Seriously, I don’t want to deal with anymore people who can’t figure out why their computer isn’t on, only to get there and find out that the real problem is that they can’t find the button on the front.)
On a side note, was surfing the web, and found this guy’s website for Lite-Brite. (Yes, there’s more to the site than that post… at least I think so. But come on, how much more fun can they be compared to Lite-Brite & Tetris in one happy creation.)
Now I have to clean my apartment. I really should learn how to fold laundry when I bring it up from the dryer compared to two days later. And how to empty the dishwasher the moment it’s done. And to dust more than the keyboard. I’m clean otherwise though.
(I actually don’t like it this way, and it was spotless before I did laundry.)
So last time I was in the States, I bought some letters to spell out “Jazz.” Very cool, but it’s white, and I have to do something with them. (At a total price of $3.50, I didn’t think I could go wrong.) So I’m considering either putting some jazz sheet music on the front, and play into the whole random black things I have going on, or I could go totally wild and put some funky glittery paper on the front. Mum thinks I should mod podge the sheet music on… but in random pieces. I was thinking more of one piece. (And it means less work.)
At my parents house, I got to bring back all my crafting stuff too. It’s been a while since I made a crafting post anyways. Maybe I’ll finish that rug hooking dinosaur thing. Or at least make it into a pillow from the stage it’s at. (I’m only short four rows, but I ran out of purple yarn, so now I can either try to match the yarn/be slightly off, or I can just finish it off where it is. I also got to bring home my sheet music too. (If I didn’t, they were going to chuck it! :O) It should be good.
Mmmm Skittles. That’s my random thought for the day.
Should you be calling your customers nimrods on your blog?
absolutely.
The ones that aren’t nimrods I’m sure know it, and therefore won’t be offended. And the ones that are probably need the dose of reality.
Well, lucky you, I am sure that I would be in quite a bit of trouble if I said that on my blog (and people knew who I worked for)…
Meh, Dad makes fun of other customers infront of the customer’s he’s at all the time. (Doesn’t tell them who he’s talking about, of course.) So I can get away with a little more. That being said, I wouldn’t complain about something specific about anyone whom I’d suspect to find my blog, let alone know about it.
