Don’t visit Zoe & Gavin

…they will send you home HUNGRY! ;) just kidding. They did tell me to stand in the wrong line though, but heard him say train 78 after I was in line for 2 seconds, then checked my ticket, and found out well… you read the beginning of this run on sentance.

Had a good weekend. Thanks for inviting me guys! Mmm… chicken & waffles.

This weekend was also a test for my ipod… which I *finally* got back last Thursday… and it FAILED. If you haven`t heard the story…

End of August, the top bit of my iPod popped off. Weird. Thankfully, I had bought the warantee. So anyways, I go into Best Buy, chick says I`ll have it back in two weeks, if they can repair it, or they`ll just replace it for me. So I think that everything`s fine.

Brought it in to get fixed, and waited, and waited… finally I called after a week after it was supposed to be in, and they told me it had arrived over a week before I had called… then they told me that it’s “physical damage” (no shit) which apparently equals my fault and not covered by my warrantee. (What?!) After alienating just about everyone in the store, we got to talk to the store manager… and with a lengthy discussion with him, his managers, and some of their employees, they “decided” that it is not physical damage (okay…) but faulty product (again, no shit. I thought that faulty product could cause its own physical damage… I was wrong) so apparently this means they sent it out to the wrong depot. So two weeks ago they sent it in to the ‘right’ depot to get it fixed. Called me yesterday and they told me “We’ve replaced the battery, you should be good to go!” To which I replied, “Hey that’s great, but that wasn’t the problem.” Glad I got the manager to sign a guarantee saying that it really wasn’t my fault, and they’ll replace it if it isn’t fixed. (Seriously, how could someone pry the top off their ipod? Especially with no scratch marks where it’s been popped off.)

So anyways, they sent it out to the right depot. Last wednesday they give me a call to tell me it`s in…. and they`ve replaced the battery… and i go into pick it up thursday night. it`s a refurb. fine. little more scratched at the corners than mine, and bumpy at the top, but otherwise fine… i can use the hold button, the battery`s good (it was on my old one too) so i should be just fine…

I use my ipod on the train, with and without the hold button, and leave it on hold from when i turned it off on the outbound trip until the inbound trip. seems to be fine. this morning i hear a small `pop`… it`s the top of this ipod coming off. something the manager swore wasn`t a normal problem, but i`m thinking it is. either way, this one wasn`t glued well, and i would`ve gone in tonight if i could`ve had the car. hopefully i can get the car tomorrow, or maybe dad`s going to music plus and we`ll drop by best buy at some point.

very angry… especially since they don`t count the first depot they sent it to as a `repair`and my warantee specifically states that it has to go in at least 3 times for repair, or be 60 days from when i first sent it in before they will replace it. i`d say that next time i`m going to futureshop… but they`re owned by best buy last time i checked so it wouldn`t surprise me if they get sent out to the same depots. maybe they`ll give me a new refurb. hopefully one that works. or at least is really well glued. starting to think i could`ve glued it better… but that`d be voiding my warantee… which is good for another year and a half, so it`d be ridiculous to just buy a new one when they can replace this one. maybe i should write apple and see if they can tell me whether it`s a standard issue with 2nd gen. ipods. or maybe just the blue ones.

anyways, back to zoe and gavin. They have introduced me to the world of Rhett & Link. Frightening, but hilarious. subscribed to their podcast just to see if it wasn`t a sticky chicken high fluke of my liking them! gooood chicken though. still working out how to do chicken mache. i`ll work it out. it will be awesome. now i just need some rice paper. and corn syurp. and red wine…. probably shouldn`t make my grocery list on here though, ehÉ stupid É not being a question mark.

… thinking i`ll fix my computer and maybe call someone to vent about my ipod issues.
