Cleaning Out My Closet…
Okay, maybe not vigorously, but enough that I could get the a/c in. It’s been out for weeks, and I was sick of looking at it. So I put it away, and I look up — and see the Christmas tree. Then I realize that if I don’t get it down now, I’ll have to pull everything out to get it down in a few weeks anyways. So I get it down, and the ornaments while I was at it. Then I move the box into an out of the way spot… which quickly annoyed me having a random box out. So I set it up. I figure I’m allowed based on my family’s rules (not before Rememberance Day — disrespectful) and the parade was this past weekend, and Santa’s already at the mall, sooo… definately not too early, but earlier than maybe I would’ve liked. Anyways, so I set it up… and it looks funny. So then I figured, while you can hide the ornament box easier than the tree, you could just put the ornaments on the tree, and put everything back in the closet while it’s still safe to do so. Now I’m in the process of deciding whether I want garland on the tree or not (because it’s silly to try and put it on after) and if so, how much effort I’m willing to go to. I must’ve thrown out the ribbon I had on it last year, because I can’t find it, so either I find new ribbon or skip it – but it was pretty… oh dear. The point I was getting at is: I’m disappointed with myself for getting everything out and set up so early, but those who are coming to my party on Sat. are going to just have to suck it up and deal. oh, and that my a/c is away and for the moment you can walk into my closet.
update: I found my ribbon!
oooh! christmas tree!
Gavin and I got ours out on the weekend. But ours is much smaller than yours. I don’t think it’s too early! Considering how much work they are to put up, doing it early means that you can have more time to recharge before taking it down!
oh good, not to early == on time!
