Went to see Great Big Sea tonight. It was, as expected, as always, completely awesome!

Joanna had a great time, thankfully, and didn’t comment on the number of flat notes (as she did with the only album she’s heard.) I didn’t think she’d have to know Donkey Riding, but they opened with it, so it probably should’ve been on the list I gave her. There was some seriously drunk 20-somthings on the floor dancing around, and into, each other; the dude two rows in front of me was singing along with every word, but to his friend five seats down (who was singing back) and not to his girlfriend beside him. Wierd. Oh, and Spirit of the West opened. Never heard of them before, but they were fantastic.

On a side note, I’ve notice that a whole 4 people have voted! So that leaves, well, me, right? I changed the end date to Saturday night instead; then I can send the winner home with their prize and not have to mail it.

As for the party, I’m thinking burgers are probably easiest, though not so scottish… we’ll just have to have bangers & mash for breakfast early Sunday morning… note to self, pick up premade mashed potatoes (the good kind) so we don’t have to get up so early, and therefore can drink more beer!
