Curtains are Done!
Hooray! 
I finished them last night, and when I got up this morning, on the brief moment the sun was actually shining, I noticed that my room wasn’t nearly as hot, or bright as without them. (as planned!) So happy. Pictures are below…

You will notice that it did make the room dark enough with the curtains closed for me to need to use the flash! They might be a little girly, at least heart-shaped anything, shamrocks or not, does seem girly to me, but I’m the only one who lives here, and they’re not *that* girly (hey, they could be pink!) Not bad for $3.99 a meter, eh?
On a sidenote, you’ll notice the new poll. it’s the best I could do in the 10 seconds i decided to think about it, to make it Canada Day themed.
I don’t think they’re too girly! And if you can’t be girly in your own apartment, where can ya!?

I just remembered I was going to make a Beach Boys “Check My Custom Machine” joke about my curtains. Oh well.
You don’t think they’re too girly? That’s good. I don’t want it to be overwhelmingly (looks weird, but i’m sure it’s spelt right) girly, then I’d get sick of it way too early, not to mention no one would want to come visit because there’d be these scary girly curtains staring at them all the time, just waiting to pounce… okay, so maybe I’m going overboard here.

Mum just asked if I would consider making another pair… little scared as to what that means: whether she wants me to make curtains for her (or a friend of hers) or whether she’s subtly telling me I need to make long curtains for the solarium (instead of just the blinds.) Oh, and she said she liked it, and showed it around to the girls at the office, and they all liked it too.
oh! and meant to (needlessly) point out that they’re the exact opposite of boring beige, and therefore awesome. i should really paint, but that sounds like effort.

I’m glad you like them, and think they’re not too girly! Was a little worried all the hearts would get to me, but they’re getting to me a whole lot less than sun way to early in the morning
To me they look rather like cloverleafs than hearts
