I Have a Homepage :)
Told you I’d get one up… eventually. And I did! It didn’t even take 2 years. 
Obviously a lot of content is missing, I’m working on it, and I want to add more images to the header, but then I should be good. Speaking of the header, it seems to cycle through certain ones for me, and no, they’re not in a range. They’re just random ones. Guess the random script wasn’t so random. Maybe once I have more images up it’ll be good to go.
It’s built in Joomla, as a test to get things up and running. Obviously I have some more to play with to get it to the point that we feel comfortable handing it over to the intended customer (not my homepage, but a brand new site, with the basics done for them… so all they would have to do is add their news and some content every now and then.) … and I guess they’re not really a customer either, as it is totally volunteer work, but as it is scouting-related volunteer work, he’s cool with me working on it during work hours.
On another note, had my hair appointment today. How come Laurie can get my hair looking this nice, and even if I screw with it for an hour it doesn’t look this good?
Have my a/c on. it’s cold enough to have it off, though I do have it turned to a higher temp than I would if it was hot, it’s just so muggy! At least part of July has come, too bad it didn’t come with the heat to go with the humidity. I’d consider breaking into song about it, but I can’t come up with better lyrics than “Where are you July”, which just isn’t long enough to put into “Where are you Christmas…”
Anyways, don’t actually have anything other to say. oh! today is the 23rd, so my new poll should be up sometime tonight… or it’s up already? haven’t checked. oh well, vote tomorrow if you haven’t seen it yet. Back to work on that homepage.
Cool! I always forget how ugly the urls are for Joomla though… sigh
yeah, i’m wondering if I could mess with them to make them prettier… or maybe i’ll get lucky and there will be an extension?
glad you think it’s cool. My Dad does, but he does very little with the web, the fact that he makes me use Sitespinner should be the first clue, so it doesn’t quite mean as much.
Dad was reading my blog, for once, and noticed Zoe’s comment involving Drupal, so apparently that’s Kristel’s next project. Would the urls be prettier using it, or the same? (unless you don’t know, then don’t waste your time, that’s going to be my job starting monday)
hey, does the calendar cut off Sat for anyone else? Just noticed. It doesn’t do that for me in IE. Or Chrome. Just firefox. Hm, I hate dealing with compatability, and rewriting for it. Guess it isn’t so bad, and the full calendar shows…
