Don’t Write Letters in German After Midnight

… if you haven’t practiced writing German seriously in over two years!!! Of course, that late, erm this late, I’m prone to other mistakes — such as writing *my address* on a postcard destined for *Vicky’s address* I put a blank label over it though, and it seems okay. I hope it gets to you Vicky! (And I hope you at least get the gist of what I was trying to say. Some words I had to look up, and it wasn’t so pretty… and I’m sure my wording’s off in general. If we’re lucky though, I didn’t write anything offensive by accident; certainly wouldn’t do it on purpose.) Should be in the mail tomorrow, erm today, though. Just have to go to post office and get a stamp to take it to your house.

I have a little more than a foot done of Michelle’s scarf. There was a knot in the yarn… I’m not impressed. I also had one major error on one of the rows (major being one that is clearly visible) but I’m not going to take it out… with all the yarn overs and such, I find that taking anything out with this scarf runs a very probable outcome of having to start over… which I’m not too keen with. I don’t really like the yarn, it changes thickness randomly, and it’s not that soft, but it has fantastic colours, so I think Michelle will like it… but the point I was trying to make was that I don’t want to take it out and then have it sitting around my house just waiting for my use. There’s enough of that lying around: my living room, my front closet (sorting the two bins in there), my bedroom… I took a bath tonight and considered knitting in the tub, but in the end decided that would probably be a bad idea. Sure the yarn would smell nice after, but I’d run the risk of felting it, plus it’d be wet and icky.

I really should go to bed, but after taking an hour to write one postcard in German (oh man I need to practice more!) I’m wide awake-ish.

My fruit fly problem is depleating. Slowly, but depleating just the same. I still don’t know where they’re coming from. Cleaning out my fridge tomorrow, then mailing Vicky’s letter, then getting groceries and navy pants, and by then Mom & Dad will need the car back.

The rain called for this morning is supposed to start 7am-ish. Considering it’s almost 2:30am now, I’m wondering if I should just shut the windows, because I’m definately going to be sleeping in past 7. But then my apartment will get hot, so maybe I’ll close the one by the pub table, and leave the other cracked… I guess you didn’t need to know my plan.

Sean wants me Twitter. The idea terrifies me. If I have nightmares about it tonight, I’m going to blame it on you and Piers. I don’t think I was made for social networking. Unless the coleman commercial is correct in their statement, then I’m okay with it if spider-dogs and s’mores are involved.

Okay I should definately go to bed now. It’s now officially 2:30am, which is too late!

…whoops! meant to point out there’s a new poll. There’s no prize if you’re right, no penalty if you’re wrong… at least the question was better than the one from earlier this week.
