Great Grandma’s 98th Birthday Party

We went to see Great Grandma today. We were supposed to be there at 2, but Dad decided to do groceries and take his time and whatever, so we were there at 3, just in time to cut the cake. The cake was lovely, and of course, pink. Mom and Grandma cut flowers from their gardens, put it in several vases and it seemed to go over well with Great Grandma. They found a singing birthday candle, I think it confused Great Grandma… it sang and sang and sang and we had to talk her into blowing it out!

Took Pepper along. Everyone loved her. It went very well. Ryan & Casey loved her so much there’s talk of them getting another dog lol. Great Grandma really liked Pepper; I honestly can’t remember when she smiled so much. So that went well.

Pepper’s taken to barking when she’s really tired, I don’t like it… and I’m pretty sure my neighbours don’t either. Skyline can’t kick me out for having a pet, but they can if she’s too disruptive. She doesn’t bark as much if I’m on the floor with her, but still does… so I’ve broken down and taken to having her fall asleep on my lap. Not a good habit to get into… at least after she’s slept for a little while I can pass her off to her bed. maybe after obedience school, or even midway, things will start to go better. maybe. she’s very headstrong. At least her nighttime cry doesn’t last long, or at least now that her pen’s in the living room I don’t hear it as much.

I don’t really have much else to say. Still haven’t heard from Tina for a leader’s meeting, so I’m not sure what is going on. I’m pretty sure registraton is this week, but since I haven’t heard from her…

Anyways, I think I’m going to go wake Pepper up (even though I just moved her from my lap to her bed) and take her out for last call.

  • What about the creepy lady downstairs? She is going to kill you :P

  • I will be skydiving at 98… where is that option?

  • i’m not too worried… Pepper’s usually quiet, unless she’s in hyper mode, then only loud if she’s locked in her pen. She doesn’t whine at night anymore, and when she has to go out I usually catch the whine pretty fast.

added. make sure your parachute works. some old people can’t survive falling off a chair, let alone out of a plane, cliff, building, etc.

  • Why are you pushing old people off planes, cliffs, buildings etc?
