You know that cream, beaded, super long, super easy to tangle, friggin’ annoying and quite frankly, a little smelly garland I have that’s been tangled since I bought it two years ago? I untangled it today. It took me 3 hours! Thankfully, not straight, but still, combined… 3 HOURS! I wound it onto an old christmas lights red holder thing… so now, hopefully, I won’t have such an issue.

So why was I worrying about Christmas garland? Well, since the Santa Claus parade was this weekend, I figured it wasn’t too early. I did set my tree up, but the ornaments aren’t on it. I figured time for Pepper to get used to it first would be a good ornament-saving operation. I’m glad I did. She barked for two straight hours at the tree. Then some more after I turned the lights off. Recieved a notice from my super that they’re installing some sort of reflector in the back of my heaters to keep my apartment warmer on Wednesday. I’m not happy, mostly because I set the Christmas tree up in the solarium, and now I will need to move it. Oh, and because my heat’s off and the windows are open because it’s too hot already. Great. Oh well, maybe if I was old I’d appreciate it, so I guess I shouldn’t complain. Okay, one last complaint. While I do have 24 hours notice, it’s a lot easier for me to get my super-duper clean that I’d prefer my super sees if I do it on the weekend than on a weeknight… so if they had told me on Sat/Sun instead of this evening, I would’ve been a lot happier.

Was working on my knitting. Not easy with a puppy, but I’m managing. I have to fix the thumb on it though. I tried the after-thought thumb method, and it isn’t going well… I have two giant holes at the sides, and no one wants that. I’m not finished Michelle’s scarf yet. Kind of bored with the pattern, and kind of annoyed with her, so haven’t been working on it. Should be done for Christmas though. Working on a sweater for Pepper. I know I said I wasn’t going to dress my dog up in clothes, but we get outside when it’s cold and she gives me this look like, “excuse me?! It’s cold.” and then heads for the door.

On the scouting side of things, well we’re doing good. Still only 3 kids, but at least they get along. Other than that, don’t have much to say.

Pepper was sick this past week. She had a reaction to one of her shots, threw up a lot and was running a fever. We brought her in, they gave her a couple shots (one very ouch-y) and she had to eat prescription food for two days and was hungry, but now she’s good.

I don’t think I have anything more to talk about. So I guess this is a good place to stop.
