I am an Adult
You would think this would’ve occurred to me long ago, or at least when:
- My 18th birthday
- I could drive (for the record, I was 18, almost 19, when I got my G1, aka learners permit)
- I no longer needed the fake ID
- I could drink in the states
- I graduated from university
- I moved out of my parents’ house, and could afford to
- My life insurance was transferred from my parents to me
But you would be wrong. You know what made me realize I’m an adult – glitter. No, not that horrible horrible movie, but those little sparkly things you glue to other, bigger things. When you’re a kid, it’s a real treat to be able to use glitter, and you never really figure it out… until you’re an adult, and can actually see the nasty hard-to-clean mess it leaves behind. Yeah, the ornament is now delightfully sparkly, but so is my table, the mod podge, my carpet, my jeans… you get the point. now speaking of adult things, I probably should be a responsible one, and go pay that cable bill…
