Thought I’d let you know that we are going to be in Milton this weekend at a lacrosse tournament. We are camping at Nor-Halton campgrounds which from the looks of things, is right near Fairy Lake! LOL! Small world huh?? Hope you are keeping well!?!

Just thought of another thing, you could also use sandboxie to protect their computers from the interwebs:

Only give them links to the sandboxed browsers, then they really can’t do too much

Agreed – the key was the 10 minute part. Anything that takes 10 minutes to scan, unless it’s a anit-rootkit scanner such as TDSSKiller, chances are it isn’t helping you.

Cool. I’ll check it out.

I’ll mention the idea to them – we’ll see if it they take my advice when the machine comes back to me in 6 months completely filthy and infected.

Actually, their passwords were protected in the majority of their browsers. Of course, they didn’t actually tell me the password, but that one didn’t matter. It was the login to get into their system that I ended up spending hours trying to reach one of them for.

That ain’t completely true, there is a free online scanner provided by Trend Micro (and various other ones) http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Granted, it doesn’t remove the viruses if I remember correctly, and it takes forever to scan.

Comodo Dragon is a chromium based browser.

-> Also you might want to add that you can create profiles in most browsers that require username/password to “login” to it.

-> Password protecting your browser passwords is a good idea because otherwise they are basically stored in plain text on your computer.
